TOWINGとは
古来の知恵と最新技術を融合
土づくりの常識をアップデート
名古屋大学発のスタートアップとして発足したTOWINGは、
通常畑で３～５年かかる土づくりをわずか約１ヵ月で可能にする、
植物の炭等のバイオ炭（多孔体）に微生物を付加し、
有機質肥料を混ぜ合わせて管理した人工土壌の技術「高機能ソイル技術」を活用した、
高機能バイオ炭「宙炭（そらたん）」を開発・販売しています。
TOWING独自のバイオ炭の処理技術、微生物培養等に係る技術を、
国立研究開発法人農業・食品産業技術総合研究機構が開発した技術と融合し、
実用化しました。
この技術を応用し、宇宙農業実現に向けた活動・研究も活発化しています。
WHAT’S TOWING
TOWING, a startup originating from Nagoya University, has developed "High-Performance Soil Technology" that reduces the traditional multi-year soil preparation process to just one month.
Based on technologies from NARO (National Agriculture and Food Research Organization) and Nagoya University, TOWING’s proprietary high-performance biochar, "Sora-tan," holds the key to circular agriculture.
Today, we are also leveraging this technology to accelerate research aimed at making agriculture in space a reality.

Message from the CEO
Establishing a permanent
food production system
wherever humanity thrives.
"Humans literally 'eat' fossil fuels to survive."
Hearing this phrase in college made me realize the frightening reality of a world where these finite resources vanish. It was the spark that drove me to action.
Today, our combination of biochar and High-Performance Soil Technology stands as a game-changing solution. It speeds up soil cultivation, enables a seamless shift from chemical to organic fertilizers, circulates unused resources, and locks carbon into the earth.
Our vision reaches beyond Earth. We are currently working on a project to deploy this technology on the Moon, developing a localized, circular farming system for space.
To realize a permanent food production system wherever humans live, we are committed to driving forward alongside everyone who supports our journey.
